WOW!
Time has come and gone here in Philadelphia. Six months ago today we
pulled up Tioga St. not knowing what God had in store. We were
unsure of ourselves and the task given to us. Today, we sit here
looking at our bare walls, packed boxes, and reminiscing over the
events of the past months. We are reminded of what God has done and
how He has blessed.
We have watched people wrestle with the truths
of God’s Word, struggle to accept the gift Christ has given us, and
stumble over the realization of the cost of following Christ. You
see, bringing the Gospel to people is not always handing out a tract
and telling them to believe. Don’t misunderstand us ... we have seen
God work in those situations. But what we have experienced here is
that through transparency in relationships God really shines. It is
then that the Gospel really has the chance to impact people in
powerful ways. We heard recently from a friend of ours that the
Gospel is “scratching where people itch”. Jesus was perfect at
this!! We are just beginning to learn ...
So ... on Monday, Feb. 5th we are leaving on our journey to MTI in
Colorado. On our way we will be stopping several places, one of them
at the Waterloo Grace Brethren Church to share about Cambodia (Thanks
Weimers for making that happen!). The hope is we will arrive at MTI
on Monday the 12th ready for our 5 week training in cultural
adaptation and linguistics. Please, please join us in prayer for
these coming weeks!

* Safe Travel
* Sharing clearly about Cambodia in Waterloo
* Asia adjusting to all of the travel!!
* That we would walk away from MTI feeling uplifted, encouraged, and
challenged
* 30% more support!!
* Contacts we have in Phila will be transferred to other staff
Praises:
* Good conversations about Christ with some of our key relationships
* We are pretty much all packed up and ready to go!!
* Asia is back on her correct schedule (no more late nights!!)
